Another six-week bootcamp completed!

Saturday was an emotional day for me as we wrapped up Cohort 3 of our six-week LinkedIn bootcamp. In a two-hour farewell session, everyone had a chance to discuss a ‘win’ from the bootcamp and a ‘gift’ for their bootcamp mates.

My win? Connecting on a deeper level to 40 amazing human beings.

And my gift to them? Helping them find their voice and the newfound confidence to communicate directly from the heart. Also, creating for them a supportive community that would cheerlead for them on LinkedIn and beyond for a long time to come.

Thanks Mette! We received a public testimonial from someone outside the bootcamp. My bootcampers have received many private DMs from friends, family, colleagues, supervisors, ex-supervisors and complete strangers by showing up on LinkedIn!

Do you know what your zone of genius is?

A year ago, I started realizing that people wanted LinkedIn coaching from me. I refused to listen to the smoke signals and I even actively resisted them.

I would reply by saying, “But I am not a coach, I am a CEO!” to them.

5 smoke signals that you are close to finding your zone of genius:

People start asking you for advice on the subject matter
You are highly knowledgeable about the topic, to the point of obsession
You know who all the VIPs are in this industry niche and they may also know you
You constantly read and learn about it, even on vacation and weekends
When someone asks for your help, you feel happy doing it even for free!

In December 2022, I started with an online masterclass, before taking on corporate clients and 1:1 private coaching clients from June 2023 onwards. My bootcamps are a more recent development in February 2024.

By the end of the year, I would have worked with at least 160+ people in my bootcamps. And I am getting increasingly more and more private referrals from past bootcampers. Why?

What I realized is, I had found my zone of genius as a LinkedIn coach.

My clients sign up for my bootcamps thinking they’d learn “how to write,” but they were surprised by how much more I could unlock for them in my zone of genius:

I created a six-week curriculum for them to understanding LinkedIn in a structured fashion, but more importantly, I shared a larger digital marketing and business strategy roadmap beyond LinkedIn
I am a strong networker myself, and I was able to open relationships with media professionals and business contacts in their industry and beyond
We brainstormed a defensible, blue-ocean brand that differentiated them from the competition and better positioned their career and business for success
I am constantly creating opportunities for professional growth in the form of workshops and seminars with experts like Chris Do
They have access to a larger alumni community of bootcampers, as well as events and meetups that allow them to network and even get emotional support from their peers

... most of the above, they didn’t expect!

Which leads me to my next point: after all that is said and done, I wanted to do even more.

I wanted to create the mother of all meetups for my entire Find Your Superpower community (and that includes you!) to get to know each other and learn at the same time.

Something is brewing on 21 November 2024

I have been planning for an end-of-year party for some time. But knowing me, I always ask myself... how can I make this better? How can I create more ROI from our meetup?

And it occurred to me... I would create the mother of all meetups: I would curate a full-day event chock-full of inspiration and goodness, to give us an amazing end to our 2024 calendar.

I am therefore holding my inaugural Find Your Superpower Summit 2024 in Singapore on 21 November 2024. It is an exclusively curated experience that will help you explore big ideas, unleash your potential and network with like-minded people.

This led me on a search high and low for speakers that I myself identify with and enjoy hearing speak. And the speakers who agreed, agreed on the basis of goodwill and reciprocity. Trust me, some of these names say no 99% of the time, and they agreed when I asked them (nicely).

We have Laurence Lien, former Nominated Member of Parliament, philanthropist, Chairman of the Lien Foundation, and Co-founder & Founding CEO of Asia Philanthropy Circle.

In a 2023 interview with Tatler’s Editor-in-Chief Aun Koh, Laurence shared: “I think in the early days, during my grandfather’s generation, you couldn’t be a business leader without being a community leader. You wouldn’t be respected. ... And that’s why they got involved in building schools and hospitals and so much infrastructure. I think we’ve lost that. I think we need to bring back the giving spirit of the older generation.”

Crystal Lim-Lange

We are delighted to enjoy a special workshop by Crystal Lim-Lange, a powerful keynote speaker, leadership transformation and personal growth expert, 2x LinkedIn Top Voice, CEO of Forest Wolf, and the best-selling co-author of Deep Human.

In a LinkedIn post three weeks ago that went viral, Crystal talked about neurodivergence and giftedness: “I believe that gifted kids are special needs kids, and their neurodivergence is something that is often misunderstood. I was a destructive child, easily bored and prone to arguing with teachers.”

We will also hear from Goh Wei Choon and He Ruiming, co-founders of the hugely-popular personal finance site The Woke Salaryman (more than 1M fans online), and the best-selling authors of The Woke Salaryman Crash Course on Capitalism.
